| Hi guys, I'm having an issue with my '98 Passat. The interior door handle on the driver's side won't open the door(!) The is no tension when I attempt to open it. I removed the door panel and the cable is (or was, rather) connected to the back of it. Is it a disconnect down at the lock mechanism? Danke schoen! |

| If I recall, you have to take apart part of the door handle on the outside to get the whole mechanism out, and there is a little cable in there too. This cable simply clips in, but maybe it is now broken. |
