I was wondering if any one could direct me where I can buy the sway bar bushing and clamp set. stock or urethane is fine.
I looked at local shop today. The Thing sway bar is larger than Beetle. They did not have anything. I searched around the web. I know I have seen the original replacements. Just can't seem to find again.
Thanks in advance |

I would not use the crimp style mounts. They're very hard to get on, and if you ever need to remove them you have to destroy them. Get these instead:

I've got these, but not yet installed them.
A few years ago, I spent an afternoon trying to install the crimp mounts and couldn't even get the first one on. |

Get the ones the Ian recommends... The others are indeed extremely difficult to install! I had to use vise-grips and a lot of persuasion in the form of hammering and cursing to get them on. I never want to do that ever again! |

Thanks for info. I am a little scared the CIP are Beetle and they are selling for things as well bcs of cross over parts.
I found some a German Motor Wrks - Things for Thing. I am waiting confirmation that they are the right diameter bushing and not small like beetle. Of course they are twice the price. |

Use the bug bushings, let them sit in the sun a while and they slide on with a bit of effort. However the extra size makes the stock clamps a bugger so use the "T-bolt" style clamps.
But... Please, please buy the clamps from your local shop!
Love your local VW shop and they will love you back. |

I put the urethane bushings with SS clamps on mine. The fit was very tight getting the bar through the hole, but they work fine.
