| Good morning all. I writing this for my brother who bought is first S/B yesterday. There appears to be a oil leak coming from the dip stick. When he when to check the oil last night he pulled on the dip stick the the whole unit ( dip stick and guide) came out of the engine. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? We are both very new to VW, so please excuse our ignorance. Thanks Pete |

| try this, clean the end of the dipstick tube and the hole in the block . apply locktite to the tube and allow to dry over nite. had the same problem on my 71 sb |
