Turn the key and the starter wont stop untill I disconnect the Battery.
I am trying to use a dash mount ignition. in the usa.
Please help.

YOur wires at the ignition switch are hooked up wrong. What year and we will guide you to a wiring diagram. Welcome to THe Samba.

Sounds like you have the wires wrong. The starter wire shoul donly get juice with the key turned all the way to the right in the start position. Sounds like you have it wired to the on position, so as long as the key is on the starter solenioid is getting power.

mine did this also , i beleave that my wires on my starter where wrong i be leave, im still trying to remember what i did to fix mine . now that i think about it i beleave i replaced the starter all together .

have you done any work recently on the car ????

Changed the Starter and alls well.
