We got about 13 buggies & Baja up at Stockton this Easter, lots of carnage but lots of fun to.
With a bit of luck I may get a vid or two to post sometime soon, meanwhile, here's some of air for your viewing pleasure.

Yeah, the guy who has that gallery in called VWnuts, he took over 200 pics that weekend so you should see a lot more soon.

Speaking of steering wheels on the wrong side, somewhere in that gallery is a pic of a dark red buggy with left hand drive. It was the weirdest thing we've ever seen, obviously imported from the states many years ago and it was even using the old Goodyear terra tires, we haven't seen them in this country for ages.

The owner knew nothing about its history, but I can tell you it did not use a standard VW pan. It was dead flat and it looked to be a monocoque construction with the glass molded into the metal.

I may have a look for it over at DBA.

Ps. I just checked, it's picture number 39 and he's put a lot more pics up, it's now up to 99.

Yep, that's tratty, picture number 24 holding up his trophy for the the first bent tie rod of the weekend.

All up we had 4 bent tie rods, 2 bent stub axles, 1 wasted pitman arm and steering box and 1 blown motor. The motor was well wasted before it got there.

BTW, none of the tie rods that bent were reinforced but I suspect they soon will be.

As promised, Vid from Easter, very bad weather so the quality is a bit down.
