Since the last thread managed to go ugly, we will try again. This is the general announcement to let folks know:
a) the event will be in SE Michigan
2) it will be in July of 2008
as soon as we have more specific detail, we will get the information out to you!
thanks... |

| We have a place to stay in Wichita w/69sqback? It would be cool to have a couple more places to meetup/regroup/repair! |

my route will take me up I44 through St Louis, then up to Indianapolis and on to Ft. Wayne, IN...
that will probably be my stopping point for the first day's drive, then onto the Invasion site the following morning... |

as in the past, once we lock in the exact place and date, we will start to look for 'swarm' co-ordinators from different regions. the IRON BUTT award winners in the past will tell you the trip w/fellow enthusiasts is the best part. we will also supply a tried and true list of practical spares and pre trip work tat should be done on every car to insure a trip that is trouble free.
i would really like to see the following for tech sessions:
Stock FI Tech-- Jim?
Carb Tech--Brian
Pan Ressurection Tech-- ?
Early Front Brakes Tech-- ?
Wiring repair/replacement Tech-- ?
Front beam Tech-- Keith?
I think if we can do each in 45 minutes or less and 2 per day it would really help folks out with maintaining these great little cars! |

| my daughtres did last time (3 and newborn) and we have had several grade school/junior/senior high kids come. this is part of the reason the alky free set is in place. we want parents to feel comfortable with bring kids. if john nails down the place he is trying for, there will be things for kids of all ages to do. |

right now my place is to bomb over to the invasion and then take the scenic route home....
if my wife and kids decide to either not go or fly in to meet me i will probably have some room for a copilot on the trip. remember, if you bring a type 3 or not, come on out. Annie Hall is a great co-pilot and I don't think Griff, Marion or Dave hand any less of a good time because they didn't have a T3 with them. Heck, because they didn't, we got to meet their lovely brides! 8) |

A mailing list would be better since this isn't the only T3 information source around. |

No exact date yet. I am working on it. Should have everything nailed down by the end of the month. Most likely in the second half of July 2008. |
