What time. I don't get off work until 5 then I have to clean up and catch a boat...

jimmynotch Mon Apr 23, 2007 8:28 pm

lets shoot for about 6:30-7 or so. That way traffic will be not-so-bad for those folks who need to catch boats, S-S&S, etc. Hopefully some of you can and make it.

Gona clean the cop car up!

I'm going to try! My boss just asked me to help unload some cabinets tonight but it isn't set in stone yet.

Wow. There is always something going on in Seattle. Today I almost flaked as I was a bit off after sitting in a dentist chair for 4 hours  I was about to turn in when I remembered the meet.

So I get there 7ish, met Chris (Godsbug) and perved over his fine notch with jiimy and cugir. Well it seems Chris has a clutch problem he developed in route to the hang out. Maybe a throw out bearing or plate? hard to tell. And then to top it off I just got off the phone with jimmy. He blew off his Single side pack muffler! Im sure he will tell his tale of woe in a couple of hours. But the best part was the 4 of us eating apart a clock to see how it came apart. Classic-never a dull moment 8)

That would have been a time consuming meal.

I made it home all right, but I only had 3rd and 4th, and as it always happens when least convenient, everyone had a stop fetish so they had to come to a full and complete halt and make sure I did too before they would go.

It was sure nice to meet you guys! I'll be there next time for sure, but the Notch is going to have to wait a little before it makes it again.

Jimmy, were you able to collect your exhaust or is it gone for good?

I was looking through the forums and came opon your post about getting together for beers. Sounds good to me and I would be up for joining the fun but, I have one problem my T3 is not up and running. I live in Kent and if anyone would like to come down and give me a hand getting it started the drinks are on the house or I'll pay out some cash. Let me know what any of you guys can do.

Funny thing is that soon half the folks showing up will be withoutheir T3s. Thats pretty funny. My Notch is back down and I doubt I will have time to get to it for a few days. Godsbug is gonna be without his notch, Notchboy has yet to make an appearance in his, and Tom showed up in a red Volvo last time... Sheesh!

Whatever... "Its about the people, not the cars...yady yaddy yah.." We still have a good time and get to shoot the shit. Last time was clock dismantling/destroying, next time- who knows.

IM me if notchboy can't figure out your problem

I can help this weekend.

Tram Sat Apr 28, 2007 10:01 am

I'm coming up to Seattle next weekend for Cruise for the Cure. Jimmy, I'm going to TRY to get some time to yank parts you want off the '67 donor. Anybody else who needs anything PM me and if I have it I'll bring it. Am bringing some tools/ exhaust sniffer, etc. as well to help a few people out with problems so you guys with your non- runners or piles that are giving you crap can get on the list and we'll see how much cream we can make outta shit this weekend. I'm driving the Mercedes Executive Bus up and so will have room to bring parts or what not. I'm also a volunteer for CFTC and so will probably be tied up at least for several hours Sunday. there's another VW event at the same place Sat. where we might be able to hold a "parking lot clinic", and we can schedule stuff the other times as well. I'm going to charge a few bucks for service but nothing extraordinary, probably just enough to keep me in diesel fuel, booze, and cigars, with a few extra bucks to come home with. Should be fun.
I'll be arriving in town Friday aftnoon/ eve. and will be taking off on Monday late morning/ early aftnoon. I could probably stay an extra day or two if needed and if you peeps make it worth my while.
Let's get 'em all running! Plus, it would be a great chance to finally meet you losers face to ugly mug.
