Does the nut that tightens the top ball joint, just tighten up to the camfer (whatever its called)??..which therefore means the top ball joint just sits in that piece and is not fixed per say to the knuckle. Is this correct or am i missing something.?
Also would you look at the top of the ball joint, it comes up short/not flush with top..the vendor said they are the right ones just different make and its fine..
Any help aprreciated.

| My guess is that it's just turning as you try to tighten it. Use an impact wrench, or grab the bottom with a vise-grip, drill a hole through the threads below the nut and use a rod to hold the threads from turning, etc. |
