I am going a different direction than most here, but maybe someone will know, Can I get away with using my stock front fenders with a 205 55 15 on a 6 inch fuch repro that has a 5 inch back space ? The car is a standard beetle, stock width beam ,dropped spindles with gia brakes? :?: :?: :-k Thank you, John

4 lug 914 Fuchs? Probably not with a stock width beam. With a 2" narrowed CB Performance beam with disc brake drop spindles, my 205 55 14's on 14x5.5 911 Fuchs would rub the inside fender edge on big dips. I rolled the inner fender edgeand it clears now, even if I lower the beam some more.

How much back space do they have? mine are the 5 lug variety and the distance from where the studs go through the wheel to the outer lip on the inside of the rim is 5 inches. Does that make sense? I want make sure. Thank you, nice ride by the way!

I don't remember the backspace on the 14x5.5 (can't find my bookmark on offsets). Do you have early deep 6's or the later flate 6's? You using adapters, or are your rotors drilled 5x130? Either way, I don't think you can get away with a stock width beam. My early 15x5.5 with 195 55 15 street tires have plenty of clearance!
