the ignition and locks are different.
Thank god I have the ignition.
I don't have the cut number, is the only way to get a key for the locks is to go to a locksmith?
TIA |

Make a copy of the ignition key and send it along with your door handles to GabVWKey and have the handles matched to your ignition key. |

Pull your lock and then the cylinder. The cut numbers should be on the cylinder, but any good locksmith should be able to cut a key for it, though it will not be an original VW key. Gabriel will cut an original key for you. |

I always liked the idea of having my door key different from the ignition.
When I was younger and surfing in CA, I would hide my ignition key under a fender or bumper, and if it was found at least my car would not be stolen easily.............I had this happen once, and they only took my clothes....idiots
but I was able to drive home. Food for thought! |
