My 55 deluxe is from the same place Neuilly, Paris/France and has the M124 Yellow headlights. Is the yellow just a yellow bulb or is it a differnt lens?

They guy that had my bus for a long time, Tom B, gave me some yellow bulbs. I assume they are correct, but cant guarantee 100%.
On another note, how many other barndoor busses had the seat belt M-code? Was it a very common option? |

My 55 has the steering dampener
Indicates Steering Dampener would be M018, M083 (listed incorrectly), or M086?

| I would say none of those because my other US Barndoors did not have the dampener. |

I've just received my BC back and mine also seems to have a few similar unknowns....
1954 221 Microbus delivered to Seattle.
M 018 - unknown
M 020 - MPH speedometer
M 083 - Walkthrough cab
M 086 - unknown
M 090 - Laminated windscreen glass
M 099 - unknown
M 103 - Heavy duty shock absorbers
I haven't checked for the steering dampener yet. Will have to have a look next time. But I suppose it would make sense with the heavy duty shocks and M 099 being tubeless mud & snow tyres.
Not sure about the rear lenses as although mine has a complete set I don't think they were the originals, as the PO said the bus had some other lights fitted when he got it. It does have the unfluted front lenses though. Could M 018 and M 086 be some sort of US spec front and rear lights?
Oh yeah......it definitely doesn't have a walkthrough cab either. |

Does anybody have pictures of original 010 dustfilters?
I got my birth certificate yesterday, and its coded for 010 and 009. I don't see anything special around the vents for filters...was it just the engine air filter? |

Already in the UK. :D
Looks like we'll have to compare notes to see if we can workout what M 083 is. |

My first post here at TheSamba...
I believe that the M 010 dustfilter was the "cyclone air filter". Saw this information somewhere here...

My birth certificate cames with this information "M 010", and my BD have the cyclone air filter...
