I agree! A rear main seal takes about 2 hours to do and carbs are not that hard to fix and dial in.
What do you charge per hour? |

doubtful. ill see what i can fernangle but i dont think im gonna make it this year. the fasty isnt done, the square still hasnt had the heads changed, and the ghia motor isnt close to being done. all that work on top of regular work... i just cant spend the money on gas and the campground and the entrance fee at this point. plus im broke from last weekends prom...
on the brightside... prom was definitly one of the best nights of my life, so i feel good about the choice 8) |

This is going really well and I appreciate the input you guys are putting in.
I need to chase up a few leads, like the one for a RHD Pigalle/Pearl White fastback that was in the UK, but now is in Belgium, and also the Squareback sold through T3D. Anyway, but here's what we have so far.
Chassis # Interior Body Owner
3160030xx F Teak ? Mr Nierman Germany
316021117 F Pigalle Pearl White Mike Dempster UK
316039380 F Teak Pearl White Juha Finland
36606xxxx S Pigalle Pearl White "rustyfastback" USA
366076020 S Pigalle Pearl White Scrapped
366230670 S Pigalle Pearl White ?? Sold to T3D in 2001
316?????? F Pigalle Black K Kontio Finland
366?????? S Pigalle Pearl White Phillip Bradfield USA
316?????? F Pigalle Pearl White "rustyfastback" USA
316?????? F Pigalle Pearl White F Quariant? Belgium RHD
Even with this limited chassis number info we can see they certainly weren't made all in one go, and as no 2 cars are even close it doesn't look like they were made in batches either - unless every car here is from a different one.
The odd one is the T3D car which is very late. According to the parts book production should only have been between 7/65 and 12/65, and that number would make that one an April 66 car - the plot thickens!!
Anyway, keep em coming and if any one can help fill in some of the spaces in any of the above that would be great.
rustyfastback, is there any chance we can have a few more numbers for yours please? Maybe an extra digit on your Square, and some for the Fasty?
Juha, Do you have some numbers for the Black/Pigalle Fastback yet?
Cheers,
Mike. |

Type 34s were available with Pigalle and Teak interiors in '66 too. I sent a message to the Type 34 Registry email list asking members to post any information they might have here.
I found these by taking a look through the Registry database:
346011620 (August '65) / 343 / Teak (L544 Roulette Green with L87 Pearl White roof)
346299690 (July '66) / 343 / Pigalle (white with black roof) |

It must have been your most lucky day to have spotted a variant with that pigalle interior. Are you restoring that Square? |
