You need to check some Cobra sites. www.factoryfiveracing.com will have some. Also, vendors such as FinishLine would have them too. Go to www.ffcobra.com and find the link for "vendors", there you will find the link to Finish Line as well as other Cobra parts vendors.

I can get some from England (where they're made) if you like, I'm seeing my supplier at a car show next weekend. They're available in amber, red of clear lenses to take either single or dual filament bulbs.

I've sent them to a couple of guys on this and the Manx forum and they've been very happy with them.

They're $50 a pair, I'll work out shipping cost and get back to you.

Manxdavid, I was talking with my dad about needing to find one of those to replace mine that had corroded beyond usability and when he heard "Lucas" he asked "you mean The Prince of Darkness"? Apparently, they have a reputation for corrosion problems on the east coast on this side of the pond. Probably from all the salt they put on the roads in winter. Do they have the same reputation over there? I live in California, so I'm unlikely to have that problem, but I'm just curious.

By the way, I got mine here:
http://www.finishlineaccessories.com/catalog/default.php?cPath=3

It was $21 each for the L 488 in amber or clear.

I've heard of Lucas 'Prince of Darkness' but only in the US, they always had a good name over here, or maybe we just didn't know any better...

Did you know that Ozzie Osborne's first job in music was tuning car horns in the Lucas factory in Birminghan, England...

I just worked out I can do a pair of L488s shipped by airmail to the US for $55 if that helps anyone. Payment would have to be by Paypal I guess.

From another web site:

The Lucas motto: "Get home before dark."

Lucas denies having invented darkness. But they still claim "sudden, unexpected darkness"

Back in the '70s Lucas decided to diversify its product line and began manufacturing vacuum cleaners. It was the only product they offered which didn't suck.

Oh Shit, that's gotta be the funniest thing I ever read

They look almost as cool as KG bullets though, and a whole lot cheaper...

I like them on my Manx anyway!!!

OMG, yellermanx, I think I need to go change my shorts

That was seriously the funniest stuff I've ever read. Seing it all together at once was like an overload (pun intended).

Thanks for making my weekend

Manxdavid, I love my Lucas lamps, they do look cool. Besides, I'm descended from a long line of Brits. My Dad's grandpa moved here from somewhere near Manchester in 1905 (a latecomer). On my Dad's mum's side, they all ran off to Nova Scotia to get away from those rebels down in the states during that first war. Ornery folk, all.

I have a few British motorcycles and have had many others in previous years since 1974 and I have never had an issue with Lucas electrics. I have always heard the horror stories but in my book they are unfounded.

Hey Yellermanx,
I've got another one for your list. I used to be into
Austin Healy's.

Why do the English drink warm beer?
