Seeing this pic on the first page shows really how loaded down this Bus would be travelling all the way from Guatemala!

Truely a beautiful machine.

We appreciate the support everyone... but Grim, I'm not worried about these items being in your hands. Without having met you, it's apparent from your posts on this forum that you care about them, so no guilt from us. You were the rightful owner of the bus at the time and you were within your rights to keep them. Had someone else purchased the bus, for all we know these items might be lost for good.

If you do feel inclined to strike a deal at some point, you can easily reach me through our website contact. It would be cool to have them back sometime, but there's no urgency -

The Diedrich's coffee bus made it to its first OCTO. I believe Martin was wowed by it all. Good to see a bus with so much history come join in the fun today.

if you really care about these items buy them from me and give them back to Martin.Martin only asked if i had them he never asked to get them back and im sure they will end up back in his hands but it wont be all this "X3" crap that gets it there. They are my items to do what i want with, i never sold them with the bus for a reason. If i cared? im the one that helped get it out of the woods and back to Costa Mesa.So when Martin ask for them back then im sure we will work it out but stop with the guilt trips people.
Martin give me a call and we can work out a trade for some coffee or something, dont stress these items like the rest.

Hmmm, I was hoping this was being handled with some class behind the scenes but now here is the ugliness for all to see in the public forum. Martin is a real nice guy and I'm sure he would trade some coffee beans to further the reunification of the coffee bus' parts that should have stayed with it. Want me to ask for you? I'll make a special trip to Kean's just for you.

That is like finding a lost dog and hacking off one of its legs before calling the pound.

what are you talkng about?who is the hacker and who is the pound?or are you talking about all of the random hacks the bus has=bulkhead, horn, tail light, reverse lights, windows, and some wierd hoops in the nose.

I agree. they are GR's plates. he should put them where they would be best served. They really should be installed on the A$$ of something and they are his and he should display them on the A$$ of something. i saw the bus at OCTO.

suebug Sun Jun 08, 2008 8:32 pm

Why is this resurfacing? Grim and Martin can make a fair trade (Kean's beans for Guatemala plates/manual/etc.?) when the time is right. (That Washington plate just didn't look right, though.)

Likes Girls Sun Jun 08, 2008 8:39 pm

the plate will be back with the bus in due time.let it rest and just enjoy the bus for what it is instead of what it doesn't have on the a$$. Martin is not worried about and nobody else should worry about it either.
