Here's what I got done yesterday.
1. Fitted new fuel line down from fuel tank, as the old one was shocking.
2. Cleaned and fitted fuel tank bulkhead (mine's a 68 bus built a few days after the bulkhead was introduced)
3. Fitted engine and rear valance (did the crank seal and exhaust last night)
4. Narrowed a rust free bare link pin beam I had lying around, this took a few hours! Now welded up with laser cut shock towers. Narrowed from the ends, as I have new bushes to put in. Painted the beam
5. Removed some old steel plates someone had bolted to the rear bumper for roof rack access and welded up the holes by clamping a bit of aluminium behind the holes. localised Primer and and bit of pastel white (all I had) and re-fitted the bumper.
Pics and update on the blog at www.thebusstation.com more later today. MOT booked at 3pm Monday!! |

Got the MOT yesterday and went down to the DVLA this morning.
Spent another half day on it today  Did some MOT advisories - the rear brakes were so bad I am surprised it passed - all new now though. Also replaced the drag link as it was advised on. Dropped the back one spline for now, as the front could only come down a couple of inches before bottoming out on the shocks I have fitted. Can't be arsed to change them now and they will be OK once I fit the drop spindles.
Took it to the PKW club night - every wednesday close to southsea seafront. Here you can just about see the workshop carnage - due for a tidy up after caning it for 6 days straight! You can also just see the widebed truck whose headlamps I borrowed.
and another car park shot
