Does any know if the pan of a 73 sb fit the body of a 62 vert??????????

No, super beetle pan will not work you need a regualr bug pan

It could be made to fit but there would be much work involved, such as welding the Standard Bug frame head in replacement of the Super's frame head. Then in the rear the axle for '73 is IRS and the '62 has Swing Alxe. Also, the body mount in the rear fender area is slightly different. The conclusion is that yes it could be done but it would be much easier and less costly to get a pre-67 pan... not to mention save a Super.

Superman is right, many things are possible, I took it as " is it a direct swap" type question...

It would be a "direct swap" with a BIG hammer and HOT torch

WAY too much work. You'd be cheaper off in the end to get new pans for the earlier model as well as new convertible support rails and pay someone to weld them in, if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself.
