I just got a 1915 and it has 44 webbers on it. I need to get some form of breather for my oil but I have seen some hooked up to the valve covers and the carbs etc. Can someone please explain various systems that people use and what works the best. I need to get something going soon since I have to drive kinda far since I am moving thanks...

Yea, basically it's just to reduce crankcase pressure. It's a good thing to have, cause some of those larger engines (like yours) could blow out the seals after getting hot. It's just that the pressure needs to go somewhere, so people use the breather boxes, and that helps a lot. It just collects the fumes, generally from the Valve covers (hard to get pressure from their to the breather hole, so the valve covers are usually tapped for breathing) and then the regular stock breather hole(by the filler neck) and those are generally the major spots. Some have gone out of the fuel pump hole(rarely) but that's really all their is to it. If you notice your engines leaking out the valve covers, this is probably why. It's just safer to install a breather kit, then to replace the rear main seal, as well as the clutch plate. Get my drift ;) good luck man!
