solex 30/31 pict ?
which one is the idle screw and which one is the mixture? it's running fine right now but i don't know if i have everything set right? i just did both by ear the big screw on top and the little screw right below it! the one on the throttle lever is not touching unless it's dead cold and it is choked!
thanks in advance!
advice on adjusting the idle for an idiot would be appreciated! |

| Anybody know who stocks jets for this carb? Odds are I'm going to have to run my Solex on my mild 1776 until I can afford Kadrons. Thanks! |

BTW, what size main jet are you running in your 30/31? I've got the same thing, in my 1600SP(bus), and I'm running a 120 main...When I put in a 122.5, It smoked more...and it smelled like it was too rich...weird... I know people say use higher...am I way off here? |

Erik, All the Solex Jets are the same, heck, you could pull one out of a 34 pict, and drop a 27.5 in it if you really wanted to. I'm still trying to figure out the proper jetting for mine, That's why I asked if anyone knew theirs. Actually, I just changed mine, and I took pictures of it, I should have the webpage built and Up on my site showing how to remove the Jet with the carburetor still in the car (Quite simple, if you can use a 13mm wrench, and a flat head screw driver...oh, and a tooth pick ;) ) Anyways! Just check it out. I'm still searching for that jet # if anyones got the stock one. I hear things like the aftermarket ones are jetted with 112.5's? Something nutty like that. Anyways! Peace!
