Does anyone have any good tips on getting to the idle mixture screw on a set of Kadrons. The right side is sort of a PITA, but the fan shroud blocks the left carbs screw totally. Someone has to be smarter than me out there (otherwise this world's in a heap o trouble) and figured this out.
Thanks |

I can tell you how i do it but you might not like it.....I take the farkin carb off and adjust it outside of the bus!!sounds kinda crazy but is about impossible to get to that #@#$in screw when its sittin in my bus.i adjust one side{count the turns,i.e 2 1/2 turns}then take the other carb off and adjust the same amount of turns.its a royal pain in the ass but this method has worked well for me.
also mke sure your linkage is adjusted properly or the above process will be a waste of time.
hope this helps, maybe others will come foward with other suggestions on this matter.....

| I use a long thin flat head screw driver to get to the driver's side carb. It's hard to get it at first but with some practice, you should get better. It's the only way to really get the adjustments correct. |

| im with truckersmike, long thin flatblade screw driver. its like threading a needle but it is possible. i adjust each side till i hear the highest and smoothest idle then set the idle to my liking by the throttle stops. syncs are a waste of time on kadrons since they have a ballance tube. |

| I still use a synch because I think it makes the engine idle smoother. Even with the balance tube, the carbs can be pretty far off on idle. |
