Hi everybody, nice pictures and adventures you´ll had. I´d like to share some of mine. This is my 73 Kombi (now with a 2.0lt engine) driving with wife and my 3 girls to La Gran Sabana National Park, located around 2000km from Capital city Caracas and 300km more from Valencia, where we live. Its not a Camper but we mounted a 2mt by 2mt tent on the roof. Its just great and the five of us fit in very well.

Thanks! We love our bus! The camping shot is near Papa Fernández. It is a little over halfway between Puertecitos and Chapala on the back roads. We had a great time there...can't wait to go back! |

| The tent does very well in the wind. In fact, usually no water gets in when it rains. It has to be a storm so water gets in. This type of tent is made basically for off-raod 4x4 entusiasts but I´ve seen them on small compacts; even on beetles. You can check them outo on: http://www.ventuari.com.ve/ These are the guys where I got it from, but I´m sure you can find them in USA with no problem. |

The tent cost arround $800 two years ago; but then again, things here are quite expensive, it would probbably cosy half in the USA. |

Actually, didn't get any air there. Though I'm pretty convinced there was a point or two on that drive where there was probably at least one wheel off the ground.
I think it'd be really cool to try and jump my bus. Any idea how bad that'd mess up the suspension? |
