| Aloha. I just got me a trade deal that I got a 1776 longblock on my end. Anyway, the history of this motor is that it used to blow external oil coolers everytime the motor got pushed hard. I dont know the exact cr on it but they said its pretty high. Possibly in the 10 to 12 range. Does anyone know how I can prevent the external oil coolers from blowing its line? Any info would help. | Is it full flowed or did they run a bypass adapter? If it's full flowed you can probably run a Gene Berg pressure relief pump cover. that might help. Check the oil pressure relief springs and valves and reinstall stock versions if they're not already there. I've found that the pressure booster kits can occasionally bring up the pressure excessively. |

| May not have anything to do with this but if you instal the oil relief splring in the wrong holes (dual relief) you will blow the stock cooler. Even though the springs fit best in the right spot I have done this on 2 different motors. I am very ashamed to say... |

| Aloha. It has the dog house oil cooler as well as the shroud. The external is running in the front behind the degree pulley. One coming out of the oil pump cover and the other is tapped, right next to it. Thanks for your feedbacks. Ryan68, hope this helps. |
