My fave beer right there. Even though it isn't made in the south, it's made with grits so it satisfies my old school southern sensibilities.
They've got a brewery in Tampa as well. Thats pretty south. :)
Florida is not the same as the South. (except for maybe some of the panhandle) |

| Oh yeah, that's the good stuff Obus, but the 90 was what I was drinking at the moment. I used to live on the Eastern Shore of MD and went to Rehoboth Beach a couple times a summer. I'd pick up a few bottles from the Brew Pub while I was there. I can get the 90 minute down here, but not the 120. So I save that for special occasions... well that and because it's $10 a bottle... So I take it you're a hop head too? |

| I am on the other side of the spectrum now. I sell wine & spirits for a distributor here in NJ but when i got out of college around 1994-1995 i worked near the Baltimore inner harbor at a microbrewery called Baltimore Brewing Company which made DeGroen's Beer at the time. I was merely waiting tables but that was at the height of microbrews imho and i was making good coin and got spoiled drinking great beer. The Marzen was my year round fav and they had plenty of other options too. It pains me now when there are no other beer options around and i have to suffer through a Miller or other swill. I still like to pick up something different when i need to buy beer. Of course, i have wine & liq. at my disposal so i tend to drink that more often  |

Stealth67vw, Buddy, it WAS in bottles. I am sorry you missed it in your area.
Look for it again on the shelves in the late march through early may I believe.
May I suggest you look here. www.sierranevada.com
I am currently working the graveyard brew shift as I speak. It is a thirsty world out there.
Look for the other two Harvest Ales in bottles. The Chico Estate out now and the Original Harvest out in late Sept/early Oct.

I guess I didn't realize it was one of the Harvest Ales. I had it at the Tap Room in Chico 2 weeks ago and didn't get to see the bottle or label. I'll have to keep my eyes open for it next year.

Oaked Arrogant Bastard. Reminiscent of cheap Bourbon with it's oaky finsish. It's ok, not as good as the Double Bastard.

Wow! Lots of good taste in beers around here. I love the IPAs :D
I've had the 60 and 90-minute Dogfish Head IPAs, but I have not had the 120 minute. (I dont think I can get it around here :? ). I already start to slur my keystokes after two 90s.

I love stouts. This is one that I found and it's remarkably smooth with an excellent flavor. (You have to get it in the can with the nitrogen capsule for best results). The kind in the bottle seems a bit flat by comparison. For maximum enjoyment, you should pour it into a glass. Add 50% Framboise Lambic for a really good after dinner beer. The subtle chocolate flavor and raspberry flavors are perfect for after dinner.

Caldera Brewing IPA from a can. At $10 a six pack, it is worth every penny.
