I spent all day at the Southern Oregon Microbrew Fest yesterday and 2 of the 60 or so different beers stood out to me. The Tricerahops Double IPA (9.7%) from Ninkasi Brewing in Eugene and the Steelhead Double IPA (8.9%) from Mad River Brewing in Humbolt County.

hats off to another home brewer...... If a person can boil water and follow a few simple directions they can make good beer at home... Ck out the AHA website, American homebrewers Association..... You work on your own car and are handy with tools but drink a factory beer? ...... Give it a try :D One suggestion skip the bottling and go directly to kegging its easier and faster and takes up less space....... Heres to you :D

Stone Brewing's Imperial Russian Stout. It pours like warm chocolate syrup and at 10.8% ABV it warms the belly like hot chocolate. This is an intense stout! I think I'm in love.

Just made my batch of The Triple "B" (Big Belgian Blond) this last Friday. Should be ready just in time for our Christmas party. |

I was there Oct 4 :D :D
It's quite an experience.
I was really looking forward to the Hacker-Pschorr tent but we couldn't get in. And it was really F-ing cold :(
But a few (okay... 5) Maßkrüge in the Augustiner Biergarten made everything good again. :D |

I usually stay away from the high alcohol brews, but this one is all right. |

I had a 6 pack of Eel River IPA last night. Great beer! Tonight it's Leafer Madness from Beer Valley Brewing, Ontario, Oregon. 9% ABV of hoppy goodness. Very delicious. |
