Just ordered every part i could possibly need today from cip1. Will be great when it all arrives.

been doing a little work. Figured out how to actualy read a wiring diagram after frying a few wires, I didnt know that each number for a wire was marked on the part and diagram. So i got that all sorted out and all my wiring works. I had to return my throttle linkages form bugpac cause they wouldnt work(cheap)so i will get a csp version. I am putting a new float in my kads. and That about sums it up. I am starting to get together ideas on doing a full cage that connects to my beam like a class 11 bug for the added protection. The exhaust sounds like a stinger it has a glass baffel that i can run in it, i will eventuly get a different system.

I have now Adjusted valves, cleaned up my kads, put in brake line, started bleeding brakes, and mounted exhaust. I decided that maybe the class 11 thing wasnt something i wanted to do right away.

Car is looking good man.. Keep it up and remember that it's yours, and the most critical person you should listen to is yourself. But, sometimes, you have to pat yourself on the back for doing a hell of a job. Mine took over 2 years to get it where it's at.. It's a tough thing to do when life is constantly in the way.

I just got a set of new rims and tires for my bug. It would have to be the best money ever spent on my bug. Thanks evkev!

I was the same way with my first bug, My dad purchased it for my brother and I when we were 14 years old and we spent a ton of time getting her ready for the day we could drive by ourselves. I learned a ton by trial and error and reading "how to fix your vw for the complete idiot" . That book applied to me back then and still sometimes today.

Thanks. I just started putting paint stripper on them so i can repaint them with poly urathane black. I decided that those tires were good so i will just use them and sell my old ones. I am getting fuel hose tommorow so If anyone hears a loud beast it might just be mine.

Well, i still havent started my motor due to the fact that i cant get any info on adjusting a kadron carb float, I am starting to think of just putting on the stock carb and starting her that way.

I just finished up some welding and am in the process of making some sweet hotrod interior door handels.

Got all the motor ready. Oil in and fuel lines hooked up.

Cant start her now because i ounce shorted out my light switch and it finaly gave up the ghost. I am going to go try to buy a Original one.

Finally got my wiring complete! Gas Lines in! Engine complete!

To Do List: Rhino line roof rack and Make detachable Bike and ski Rack add ons. Bleed brakes. Mount seats. Paint hoods. Adjust Valves. Adjust carbs. Finish Rim prep. Do a sound system. Redo rear Fenders. And much more!

Great work! You certainly should be proud of that car!

I was just showing this thread to my 12 year old...hopefully he will appreciate Bugs more when he is older!!
