| Even with a screwdriver jammed into the pulley, the shaft is slipping through the pulley somehow??? Take quite a bit of effort to turn but it is definately slipping. Any ideas? |

| Sounds like maybe the Woodruff key has sheared off. I'd try spinning the nut off with an air impact. They can get up a lot of inertia/speed/torque that you can't achieve with a hand held socket wrench. If you can get to the big nut on the fan, you might try holding the shaft with that, too. |

| Didn't have an impact but a blow to the wrench with a hammer did the trick. The key was missing :? Thanks. |
