I had my gauges redone a while back by John Troia. I've installed them and my red light comes on with my high beams, and the blue light comes on with low oil pressure. They worked fine before.
My conclusion is that maybe when he reassembled the gauge, he switched the colored windows around.
Right now the colored windows are, from left to right: unk color/red/blue/green. What is the proper order of the colored windows?

Green parking lamps, blue high beams, red gen, red oil

The earlies do not have the symbols, but I think the order and colors are the same.

I never took the bulbs out of the back part of the gauge. That part stayed in the car while the gauges were being redone. before I try to switch the bulbs, I want to know that the colored windows on the front of the gauge are in the right sequence.
I would also like to know what the fourth one is for. I know red=oil, blue=high beam, grn=generator (i think). Whats the other one for?

Yea, mine doesn't have the symbols (67). If the high beam is second from the left, then the red and blue windows must have been switched around when he reassembled the gauge.

Good idea, but his website is gone and presumably so is he... Its been two years since they were redone. I should have inspected them closer when he returned them.
You dont happen to have a close up pic of an early gauge do ya :?:

Here is a pic of the gauges. They were finished in February 2005.

Here's a pic of a '68 guage.

On the left is parking which is actually light green. Next is high beam, Blue. Generator is Red, and Oil is dark green.

Fuel sending unit is currently detached, hence guage level.

Nice job on those guages by the way..

This is a NOS gauge. 12V system.

That's a good pic. I made sure all of my wires were ran correctly, which they were. The high beam and generator windows were switched. I took the gauge apart and fixed the issue.
BTW, You would think the oil light should shine "RED" since that's the most critical. The engine will be fine without generator power, but no oil pressure is a killer... Just a thought. Thanks for the help!

Hi there,

I'm restoring a 65 Notch and it never worked or was powered on since on my hand.
So have a few questions.

Can someone tell me if the turn signals warning lights on the gauge light up independent of each other?
Shall it be left or right depending on the lever and direction you're turning?

It has also regular horn and another air horn.
Is this correct or was it a mod introduced by previous owner?

Both turn signal warning lamps flash at the same time, regardless of the lever direction.

No air horn on a stock Type 3.
