I haven't seen on OEM style strut bearing for an earlier T4 in a while as I changed over to the '74 style. Anyway has anyone ever tried on of these to see if it will work in place of the 68-73 ones?

Not particularly concerned about the number of bolts as that could easily be changed, but was wondering about how the mount would fit in the strut tower and if the early T4 struts could be easily fitted into it.
The main reason I changed to the '74 T4 (or early Super Beetle style) was my circa '72 bearing were shot and I could not find a source for them, and had no idea what else might fit. I am sure others have had the same problem. |
