| i as wondering if the bumpers off a type 3 would fit on a 412... cause arnt the bodies pretty well the same except for the lights and bumpers? please correct me if i'm wrong. i just want to know if it owuld be a simple bolt on job or would it require mods, cause i liek the type3 bumpers way more then the type4 |

| I'm pretty sure the T4 is wider and so they wouldn't fit. |

| I'm not quite sure what you are asking. Do you have a 412 with the aluminum '74 bumpers and want to replace them? Did Canadian '74's have those? The 69-73 Type 4 bumpers look very, very similar to the Type III bumpers, especially the rear. I don't know if they are wider. What are you trying to do? If you want to fit the chrome bumpers on an aluminum bumper car, the mounting is much different as the aluminum bumpers are mounted on shock absorbers. The bracket type mounting stamping recesses, however, are there, but not punched out on the lower front panel of '74 412's. The rear would need some welding, etc... |
