Hello,
I am currently in the process of transplanting a 411 e/W type 4 into my speedster. I previously had a type 1 alternater that i fitted during the original speedster conversion. I bought the engine already removed so i am left with a green, red, brown and a large presumed permanent live wires? Could anyone please help?

Found some wiring diagrams on Vintagebus.com. These show a seperate regulater. Is this the case on all models? if any??

I far as I know all T4's had separate regulators. They had the big B+ that is always hot and ran to the starter and then three wires to the regulator. On a VW the medium brown colored wire is always a ground.

Thanks for the reply!
The alternator looks like it has a cooling intake? Has anyone either got a spare regulator or know of any consequences/suitable replacements for the original alternator?
