haha i finally bought that bentley manual. anyways.
me and my dad were putting the case together tonight and we noticed when we tighten the case bolts it wouldnt turn at all,like impossible,but when we lossen them up the crank turns.
i have no clue what this could be,please help!

Double check your main bearings are seated in the dowel pins. Verify you have the correct bearings, std or oversized on the mains as appropriate for the case. If the case was line bored make sure the dowel pins are not to long.

I hadn't realized that all this ha ha stuff actually started last year. Thought it was ha ha just ha recently.
Not knowing about an engine and attempting to rebuild it without a Tom Wilson book would not be an issue to ha ha about.



What's all this ha ha stuff about? Evidently it doesn't mean it's a BFJ.

Look for adequate main bearing clearance at the split main bearing. You may have to file and fit them in so that they do not held the case apart.

I assume you do nto have the oil pump installed right now.
