Fellas;
Any clue as to the proper Autometer fuel quantity gauge part number for the standard Beetle circa 1966 tank and sender?

I don't know what gauge you've got, but my 66 has a mechanical fuel gauge in it. If that's the case I don't believe Autometer offers a suitable replacement. |

Its been a while, but I put ultralite gauges in my buggy. I remember using a universal sender from Autometer for the gas gauge. Not sure if it helps you or not. I'll see if I can find out which one it was.

I believe the one designed for a FORD will work......but research it just in case. |

I am pretty sure it is a #4315 but I will check the box today and make sure that is the part number. I think Mike is right, it was for a Ford application.

Rick,
It is a number 4315. Reads 73 ohms empty and 8-12 ohms full.

The proper part number for the VW tank sender is #3262. It is made specifically for the VW. Fast Lane Racing sells them. 1-818-718-7050 |
