| Hello , I recently picked up a 914 with seemingly low miles . I live just outside of Denver . I have about a hundred miles on the car and as I am told by the nice folks over at Pelican it is most likely shifter linkage rather than the tranny that is giving me problems . It needs the carbs adjusted also . I dont have a garage so I need someone with a shop that can give me a hand . Of course I am prepared to pay however I dont want to play Russia Roulette with the Porsche shops in Denver . Although there are many fine shops this is a VW Porsche . Not a 911 Carerra . However when it comes time to figure the bill most shops dont know the difference and I cant afford it . Thats why I have a 914 . Any way if you all get my drift I would appreciate a referral to someone who I can trust and is fair . That is all I ask . Thanks for your help in advance . Happy Holidays , |
