i have been talking to about 10 different companies about importing the hid lights and the last company i talked to said that the 4300k lights were yellow and the 6000k's were the white ones. i was under the impression that the 4300k's were the white ones that put out the most light/better for off road use. can anyone with first hand expereance share some info. which temp bulbs work the best?

I have the 4300k bulbs and they are not yellow at all.

If memory serves me correctly, the human eye can't use much light past the 5k K range. So either the 4300K or the 5000K bulbs would be best.

Hello All,

I love my HID kit. I bought the 4300 series kit just like Baja Cowboy. I ordered some new glass reflectors for Mooreparts....these are the ones with the fold over clip. I fabbed up a neat little panel with rubber feet for the ballasts and also made the wires from the ballast to the bulb longer. They have been very good so far. Thanks BC

First time poster here...longtime lurker! I 've learned quite a bit from the good search engine this site has :twisted: Nice to meet you all...

In reference to the Kragen HID lights in the title is the jury still out on these? I looked all over the net and can't find a solid durability report...Hopefully they are since I already bought a set and mounted them up on my rail :)

I CAN tell you guys though that these lights are ULTRA bright and super white! The light output rivals and if not surpasses my buddies true Hella HID's and they look pretty damn cool 8)

If these are durable then i'll be springing for another pair to compliment the ones I installed up top, and if not well there goes 230 dollars :evil:

Thanks,
Danny

I recently bought 4 for my roof rack and they are very bright.I haven't had them out offroad yet but someone elso on here said that after a year they still had no troubles.

Niiiice! Ok that's enough convincing for me..1 year of off road is a decent test. I use the rail in the sand only anyways and at this price they wont break the bank and actually look pretty nice for what they are...I'll pick up another pair this weekend in that case

Thanks =D>

dude i got my 7" kragen's mounted up by my bugs windshield (just behind the hood) and my 4" kragen's on the bumper, the light is ridiculous that these things put off.. i have 4 total, my buddy has 3 4"ers on the roof of his bug and we have the brightest light out of all of our buddies, they are the shizznit, my cousin has had them on his rhino for 3 years now and are still going strong! save your reciept in case something goes wrong, checker/shucks/kragen will exchange them!
