what wheels are on the front of this ghia?

Are there any front brakes on the car? The picture isn't the best. They look like chrome spindle mount wheels that were used on sandrails in the 70's.

Jackman spindle mounts. You can't run these unless you take the front brakes off of your car.

Not a good idea.

They are Jackman spindle mounts, that were chromed.

That lowlight had discbrakes in the rear and it drove like a dream...

I wouldn't want to drive it on the street without front brakes. Driving like a dream and stopping fast and straight are 2 different things. I doubt if there is a State that wouldn't require 4 wheel brakes on that Ghia to be street legal.

What fun would it have been if it were legal!?

Lets not make this another spindlemount bitchfest thread.

There is nothing wrong with spindle mount wheels on the street as long as they have brakes.
