Hoodride is dead. That's a cool car you've got there, but don't call it a hoodride. |

Yes, it is in fact dead. Do a little research. Trust me, it will make you not want to call your car a hoodride. Derrick Pacheco stole money from vintage VW enthusiasts, and tarnished the hobby very badly. He is a worthless scum, and I hate to see people continue to support him by using the name "hoodride".
By the way, it is a really cool car, especially that decklid rack and those beauty rings. I like it, keep up the good work. |

I used to think these were terrible without ever seeing them on a car. But after seeing lee's and a few other peoples cars they have really grown on me. |

decided for gas burners,
but i need some help with bolt pattern drum issues,
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=269644
I have a typ 1 1964, with the original wide 5 bolt pattern.
I REALLY want to have gas burners, which are 5X130mm
I DONT want spacers,NO!!!! any suggestions, anybody else been through this already?
I thought about redrill, but there is that ridge for strength on the drum.
and the drum is kind of cone shaped??
I've searched around in the forum but I havent seen anything about this.
thanks

| Disc brake conversion, you can also use ball joint drums up front with a porsche pattern but you have to get the right wheel bearings to do the swap not sure which ones they are. For the rear you can use 68 and later porsche pattern drums but you need to have the snout of the drum shaved off 5/8 as long as you have a short axle trans |

It's just a hoodride, so use the adapters. Fuck it, just duct tape the wheels to the drums. |
