While awaiting sheet metal orders for the 55, and the 60 23windows Dans deluxe has not been forgotten. His west coast classic interior came in yesterday so seat frames have been painted and new material will be done tomorrow on the fronts atleast. Headliner is skeduled for end of next week. Ill get some pics up tomorrow when I have new results.

in the meantime Ive finally managed to finish my 57s driver dogleg, pulled the doors and working on the last of the nose work. First fit of the new lower nose section before I cut to where I need it. once this is done Ill be on the home stretch with the driver inner/outter rockers/rear jackpoint and outriggers and driver side cargo floor half.

I got tired of waiting the long wait for sheet metal so I located a schofield panel. It fits real nice! and is made of nice thick gauge metal. Its on my 57 and Im happy with it.

Kids where the greatest thing that ever happened to me. Plus they dig VWs as much as I do. that helps when I need to get parts for a vw I get the kids involved and mama has no problem in how much it will cost just to shut the kidos up.

it sounds like you still have small kids, my kids are grown, why would I wanna start all over again? And I would agree with you, having kids was the greatest thing that ever happened to me, right behind getting involved in the vw scene.

those are the best ages, they wanna do what daddy does, and they're happy to help and be part of evrything one does.
