Alright, I have a set of ERCO 5 lug cut-outs and I need to know what is the correct lug nut for 14mm studs. Vee Dub Parts sold me some Bugpack Porsche nuts but the nuts have a radius and the rim is a chamfer, so they do not match-up. I also bought some wheel washers that sit on top of the rim to protect the rim (flat edge on wheel with no locating point/centering edge with the washer to the wheel) but I am afraid that the amount of slop between the stud and the hole in the wheel will too much and thus the wheel will not center properly and the wheel will be off center while in rotation.
What is the right set-up?

I've seen ERCOs come in two fashions. Straight cut lug holes and countersunk/ball seat. Mine are straight cut with washers cut to accept a ball seat lug.
If yours are cut for a recessed lug, be it a ball seat or straight angle seat, you need to find that matching lug. I would only run the washers at last resort. |

Why washers last resort?

Because your wheels are already cut for tapered lugs. The washers may not have enough wheel surface to sit on and bend. Possible screwing something up. |
