The Hyde Hall Mansion, Covered Bridge, and a self-guided Beaver Pond Nature Trail are within park boundaries and open to visitors. Winter visitors can go tubing, cross-country skiing, ice skating, showshoeing, snowmobiling, ice fishing, winter hiking and an Annual August Triathlon.

many took the Great Omanngang Belgium Brewery Tour and sampled then bought some of their fine offerings. the small micro-brewery really gave some reasoning to why Omanngang is more $ then the m-ass reporduced american beers.
there was some rain and chill but not enough to dampen these happy campers, with some commraderie and reminiscing around the campfire, as well as a new event the flat tire wheelbarrow push..

BUMP the forcast is looking GREAT for a weekend of VWs sand and surf.. well a lake with some wave action, doubt you cuold actually surf on it.. but we're upstaters.. anyways..
with over 25 confirmed VWs camping and anyone VW minded invited to stop by on Saturday 9/20 (noonish) for a VW PICNIC this should be one of the best VW events in Upstate NY.

so if you have a VW or are VW minded and want to stop by bring a picnic basket & beach blanket to Southwick Beach State park.
*note there are still some campsites but in the RV loop, the Beach Loop has been filled since ~may. but it's an easy walk over...
