| I have a 1968 912 I'm restoring. I know that the chrome wheels with hubcaps were a factory issue for the 912s but were Fuchs an option? |

Originally, early 912s came with the steel chromed wheels. Starting in 1967, 911S came with Fuchs (15 x 4.5). At this point, the dealer would install these wheels as options on 912 or anything else.
So, dealer installed options yes....but not installed at the factory. |

| After Fuchs appeared, anybody could have walked over to the parts department and bought some Fuchs for their 912. |

| My 68 912 came from the factory with 14 x 5.5 fuchs. I know this because I went to the dealer to pick the car up with my father and the wheels were factory not dealer installed. |
