I have Brm wide 5 and i want to instaal them on my type 1 1969, i want to know if i can swap the wide 5 drums from my type 1 1966 to the 1969 with out any machining.
Also wich tires to install on these wheels , they are 15" 5.5" width.

yes you can.
front---- '66 backing plates, hardware, bearings, '66 drums, ect....Bolt-On.
rear----- '73 Thing drums, '66 type1 w/axle nut spacer, and /or type3
drums.
tires---- depends on your ride highth. For mild lowering---145/15s or
135/15s. For slammed---175/55/15 or 145/65/15s. |

I have a 1970 vert with pre 60 bus drums with the snout milled down and stock 1970 backing plates and 67 bug drums

Running wide 5 on a late car is a vey common practice in the off road world if not running disc brakes.
