Personally I use IE for chat even though I use Firefox as my main browser.

default for me is Safari, which would spit up errors from time to time in the 'old' chat... I tried Opera as well, which did not like the javascripts used in the 'old' chat... I swapped them both for FF and haven't had an issue since...

Doh. Sorry, it was reeeeeally early for me when I posted that. I was just curious if it was Firefox because that's what I use too. I never have to clear anything though.

A lot of people are annoyed by the images feature in the new version of chat. If you DON'T want to see images posted and only want them to show as links:

1. Click on the "show/hide settings" icon in the bottom right corner of chat (screwdriver/wrench)

2. Uncheck the "Enable image BBCode" box
