I just bought this car. Its awesome and i love it but i want to start the upgrade process. I want to make it faster and imporve the perfomance but could use some help in the right direction. Any suggestions? I have always been a fan of wagons and my first car was a 66 VW bug so the two came together with this car. Its perfect for me and my family. Any ideas are appreciated. I was looking into getting a new intake and exhaust, upgraded turbo, blow off valve, a chip, cold air intake, wheels, etc. One step at a time or as income allows. haha\\

Nice wagon!

There's lots of ways to upgrade the 1.8T -- most start with a chip. The CAI doesn't do too much on these engines but make cool noises, based on what I've heard.

I see you're also in Phoenix -- check out the Southwest forum at www.vwvortex.com. There's much more activity around the watercooleds there. Lots of good shops in the area, too.

Since you're in AZ, you should definitely check them out locally. Great people to deal with, and a decent number of products.

Also, for great prices, use www.ecstuning.com (best customer service I've dealt with for the last 6 yrs)
