Nice Score!! and great pics... So, where and how did you find it? Nothing like a really nice and pretty complete early Oval... any rust issues.

Thanks for Sharing!

The only rust issues are the battery tray and a small spot at the very front of the drivers side pan. Every thing else is really solid.

Nice looking car. Interesting to see it so complete with the correct ignition, glass, ashtray, speedo, interior and door panels, interior light etc.
Cool vintage badge from Mainz on the side. I wonder what the story is behind your car. You should get a birth certificate on this one.
I stayed there when I was at Bad Camberg this summer. Cool town! Congrats
:D

Yeah, it is missing some stuff but I was happy overall with the completeness of the car. Mainly with how solid it is though.

What is the story on the badge? I definitly am going to send off for the birth certificate.

Thanks

Joey

Thats where the car was originally purchased Auto Kraft GmbH in Mainz Germany... an OLD SKOOL VW Partner and Dealership. I have seen several cars with this badge.

Nice car. I notice what appears to be a button on the dash to the left of the steering wheel/speedo. What is that for?

79SuperVert Thu Jan 03, 2008 9:00 am

Starter button?

That is the starter button.

Very nice car Joey. Early ovals are great. (I have a Jan. '54)
Check the condition of the gas tank, replace fuel/brake lines, and enjoy!
