I have a problem what is the best way to role a floor jack underneth a lowered bug???

Get someone to lift up in the bumper while you slide the floor jack underneath.

Here's a bigger problem... if you get a flat tire will the jack you carry in the car fit?

Is there a such thing a floor jack that is low enough to role underneth a lowered car

Use a scissor jack to get it a few inches up and then use a floor jack.

For my cars I have made a small ramp out of 2x4's. Cut them at an angle and stagger them, with two stacked on top of each other.

The bottom one 12 inches or so, the top one 6-7inches.

NO picture, but its really simple to make and will get your car high enough to jack up from here....

I got a jack out of a totaled 2006 Honda accord, when i needed to jack my bug up i would just use the Honda jack then stick the floor jack under there.

But i have also used the cinder block and 2x4 way too.

That's what I did. I just drive up the ramps. It's about a 3.5" increase. I can roll my floor jack right under the beam.

The problem is when you are on the road and don't have ramps or other stuff.

I picked up a Porsche 928 scissor jack which folds flat and cane easily get under the lowest cars. It also weights only 5lbs and stores easily under the rear seat.

Thanks everyone for the help

The ramps are small enough to fit under your hood.... I take them on EVERY trip I go on ( although I have been known to forget a jack or the other tools required....)
