NOTE: this was moved from beetle late model/super forum
UPDATE: I got it today. I cant be happier. damn thing runs great. it does need wheel bearings in the passenger front wheel but that damn motor runs like a top. Im able to keep up in traffic without too much trouble.
Its gonna need an oil change and valve adjustment but i kinda expected that anyways.
Im finally getting a beetle. its a 1974 standard, its in good mechanical working order and the body isnt too bad minus a couple of small patches of rust.
I even have pics, crappy because they were taken with a cell phone. but anyways
the car in the background in the second pic is my current daily driver. anyways id figure id spread the news |

i want to do a mixture of custom and restoration stuff to it. i kinda like the red, i dont know if its original or not but. Its not a super, which is fine. i dont really have a preference anyways.
I got a couple of friends that have volkswagens (74 westy and 74 sunbug) and its kinda ironic that we will all have 1974 veedubs. |
