portawalls arent the lame part...the lame part is you running temps. Temps are a terrible tire that is not designed for anything but TEMPORARY use.
get a 145/65/15, it is the same size if not a hair smaller, and yes ports will work on them with slight modification. |

My buddy ran them on temps on his oval back when they stopped making 135's in the early 90's.
of course this was the only pic I have so it dont really mean much.

| Save some money, get some real tires, and make everyone a little safer on the road. No one needs someone driving more than 50 miles or whatever the limitations are on those skinny skate tires down the freeway! |

Ive ran temps before but I would only use them as a last resort... Im not really afraid of them, as people have ran them on the front of bugs for years.... They just suck because of how they track so wildly and follow grooves in the road.
I never had a problem with them locking up or anything crazy like that, not even in rain.
ANYHOW... It would have to be a small port to fit. A temp has such a small sidewall that is rounded not flat, it just doesn't really take a port too well.
Here is my old shitter with temps and painted whites..... I know ghetto fab.
Hope I helped! |

| Telling people to 'stfu' is a great way to start off will all of your 14 posts. Asking a question is the next thing to saying that you are going to 'do something'. If you want to be ignorant, and not listen to peoples advice, then you need to 'stfu'. Think about it. |

post count is of no significance, i dont need to run my mouth and say nothing all at the same time just to raise my post count and look cool to others, im not asking what you think of my combo im asking if its been done...get it? |

| ..........................go ahead, put temps on your ride.. when you end up in a ditch cuz you are a cheap ass and wreck your car--then you'll just wish you shelled out some extra dough for some 125's.. heck, maybe even 135's which you could probably find as real whitewalls! |

Not to side with anybody but the load ratings on temps really dont mean jack shit on the front of VWs because they are load rated for the weight of a full size American car. On top of that, they are 4 plies side wall, 4 plies tread almost double the thickness of a standard 135. I used to get a flat on them and couldnt even tell the damn thing went flat until I got home because they are such stout tires. Im in no way preaching that they are the thing to do but Buddy Hale used to race his purple bug on temps doing 12 second quarter mile runs. |

| My 125 temps are only 3 ply sidewall, but seem to be plenty stout. Lame-ass white portawalls will be the problem! |

X2 with Skim. I wouldn't roll em again unless I was building a low bugget ride, but like you said they arent that bad on a bug AND dragcars ran em' in the old days! 8)
I ran on mine flat a few times and couldnt tell a difference except dragging more than usual. |

I had 2 brand new Firestone temps on this car, which I got for free. I drove them for 9 months until they were bald. I would cruise down the freeway at 75mph to work and back with no problems. This was 1992 and I was a broke ass kid who couldn't afford 135's. |

Hell man around 1993-1997 there were no 135's to be found anywhere. We were hitting up this old import car wrecking yard in Adelanto trying to score some old dry rotted 135 Michellins off those old 3 lug Citroen and Renault cars  |
