| Anybody with some references for good 912 engine rebuilders in the Pacific Northwest area? What has a rebuild cost you? Any recommended changes - cam? carburation?upgrades for reliability?Any input would be greatly appreciated. |

| When I had my 912 motor rebuilt, I went to Motorsport International on Cornell Road in Beaverton. Wayne and Win are super to work with and they do great work for a fair price. They have been maintaining my 69 912 for the last 17 years and it runs just as sweet as it always has. |

I checked with Gary Emory at Parts Obsolete. He is drowning in work load and recommended Aurthur Connor in Salt Spring Island for rebuilding my 912 engine. 250-537-9313. Gary has Aurthur rebuild most of his racing motors. Aurthur specializes in 356 racing motors and boy does he know his stuff! Shop is booked for the next 9 months. While heads may be cracked (50% chance on '68s), cranks cracked, cases not square, he said that $8-10K is a realistic figure for a quality rebuild.
Aurthur also recommended 900 Werks in Winfield BC Frank Winterlike 250-766-0944.
So anyone in the Vancouver area has two great engine rebuilders available. |
