| Looking for input. I know that mesh screen is only filtering on the 912 engine and that some people opt out for full flow oil - tap the case, open up couple of galleries and run seperate oil filter mounted next to exhaust - given the additional filtering benefit.But some people say with the unit mounted next to the exhaust manifold that this method tends to heat the oil up more and hence is harder on your engine. Anybody tried this? What did you experience? |

It mounts behind the heat shield.
I use the remote adapter since I don't have enough space between the engine and muffler in my VW. My engine temps are on the low side.
