Some people like to buy a set of wheels off of an old Mercedes 300d and bolt those on.
(In my opinion, changing wheels is among the
LAST things that one should do, but then
again, I am grumpy Mr. Poopy Pants.) |

| The wheels are 5x112mm.bolt pattern many of the Audi,BMW,and Benz. wheels will fit.Try your local custom wheel shops for other rims w/the same lug pattern. There are also alot of different adapters to change the lug pattern but not highly recomended, opposed to redrilling your rotors&drums about $5.oo a hole. Check the back spacing on different aftermarkets.DavidK 71Deluxe,69S/Cab |

The biggest concern here is the offset. Most car wheels have the wrong offset. You also need to worry about the 14mm bolt holes. Mercedes W140 body [S class from 92 to 2000] used 14mm bolts. Here is a website that lists cars and wheel bolt sizes:

Personally I like the Vanagon alloys on early
Bay Westies. No offset BS problems... |
