| I have a 1974 type 2. I was wondering if there is a way to figure out what the original interior is. I know about the M-codes but they dont seem to work on my bus. Is it not old enough? Also I need to know what size engine it has. Its the original but its been redone. The person i bought it from said it was a long block but i dont think so. Thank you. |

Your 74 should have a 1800cc Type 4, regular lifter, dual carburated engine.
You can always send your serial number to the Volkswagen Auto Museum in Germany and they should tell you. |

| I matched my number up with the one at the VW Bus Museum site and it says i have a 68hp, 1.8 liter, type 2, dual carburated engine. Does this make sense? |
